My boys along with the other children at FBC in Ashland put on a wonderful CHRISTmas program at church this year. They worked very hard for several months under the direction of Mrs. Kerri Cantrell (AWESOME, AWESOME lady). Thanks Kerri for all your hard work because it was GREAT! Here are some of the pictures from it. ENJOY
More presents! Thanks to EVERYONE for making his day so SPECIAL!

This was a very SPECIAL day for my sweet little fella! Thanks to EVERYONE who came and for all the gifts. Both Triston and Brody are my world and it hurts that they are growing up soooo FAST. I look forward to many more FUN filled birthdays ahead. Happy 7th Birthday Brody......I Love you to the moon and back!!!!!
Brody was not happy when he came in the room on Sunday morning to find that I had him a pink shirt to wear to church. It took me over an hour just to get it on him and then the ride to church was terrible. He thinks that PINK is only for girls but Mama says "Real Men Wear Pink". My poor boys have been raised that there is no other color than CRIMSON and WHITE. I LOVE ALABAMA as much as they do but I think that it is time to have something other than just crimson and white in our wardrobes. Anyways I had to drag him into church and he was NOT happy. After we FINALLY got inside and a little girl told him how much she "LOVED" his shirt he was perfectly fine and went on to childrens church with no problem at all. After church he even said "Mom, Can we make some pictures of me in my shirt with you"! WOW.........Pretty amazing what a compliment from a little girl can do. So now I have to work on Triston since I have Brody broke in! haha.....Say a prayer because I look for it to be much HARDER with Triston although it was VERY HARD with Brody!!!!
I found it oh so funny yesterday when my boys got home from school and I had made them chore list. Yes, I do believe that they are big enough now to start helping out, but Brody on the other hand does not (haha). I am not asking much of them just the basic clean rooms, make beds, pick up their clothes and towels in their bathroom, take out trash, and feed dogs. Well Triston was HAPPY to help (bc he has been in trouble he is really sucking up) but Brody gets his list and looks at it and says "I think this is the craziest thing I have ever saw because homework is a big enough chore for me everyday". It took all I had not to laugh but I didnt and I explained that he had to step up to the plate and start doing some of these things. I am sure that it will be interesting to see how it goes because he was already fussing at Triston to help him with HIS chores yesterday! Thought this was kinda cute and had to share it with ya'll!
I must start off by saying that it seems that Brody is a VERY sick child when we talk to the doctors, but we don't even know VERY SICK until we walk around the hospital and see the children who are much worse off than him. Our new doctor that we seen today is Dr. Machlin and she is beyond SWEET. Yes, we have three different doctors at Childrens now and I think I need a tablet to keep up with the information on all of them (haha). Ok, so all we know as of this point is that his tummy is VERY small because he has never eat alot. The neuro doctor had originally thought that the medicines he was on had maybe caused a eating disorder but the gastro doctor thinks otherwise. They have scheduled exploratory surgery for September 20th (the only day a week that I work :o(). I love my job but my little guy is much much more important. They told me that they will go in with a microscope and also do several biopsies while they have him sedated. If he is the first case and all goes well we should be home later that night or first thing the next morning. A couple of weeks after that they are gonna do a barium study also. I must say he is one TOUGH guy because they drew 7 tubes of blood today and he watched and NEVER cried. Mama on the other hand about passed out and had to walk outside the door (haha). Anyways, I will keep you all updated and blog as much as possible. Please continue to pray for him!
Well today is the day that we get to meet Brody's new gastro doctor. A bit excited to finally try to get this figured out but worried too! Please say a prayer that the medicine from his Chiari have not caused anything bad with his tummy. He has been through so much in his short life and it is just so not fair to him. If possible I would take it away and let it be me, just to see him all better. As I was reading this morning this verse came upon me and I felt it was perfect for us today.
And the people, when they knew it, followed him: and he received them, and spake unto them of the kingdom of God, and healed them that had need of healing. Luke 9:11
God Bless you all today and I hope to be blogging with some GREAT news tonight!!
