Brody's Doctor Visit

I must start off by saying that it seems that Brody is a VERY sick child when we talk to the doctors, but we don't even know VERY SICK until we walk around the hospital and see the children who are much worse off than him.  Our new doctor that we seen today is Dr. Machlin and she is beyond SWEET.  Yes, we have three different doctors at Childrens now and I think I need a tablet to keep up with the information on all of them (haha).  Ok, so all we know as of this point is that his tummy is VERY small because he has never eat alot.  The neuro doctor had originally thought that the medicines he was on had maybe caused a eating disorder but the gastro doctor thinks otherwise.   They have scheduled exploratory surgery for September 20th (the only day a week that I work :o().  I love my job but my little guy is much much more important.  They told me that they will go in with a microscope and also do several biopsies while they have him sedated.  If he is the first case and all goes well we should be home later that night or first thing the next morning.  A couple of weeks after that they are gonna do a barium study also.  I must say he is one TOUGH guy because they drew 7 tubes of blood today and he watched and NEVER cried.  Mama on the other hand about passed out and had to walk outside the door (haha).  Anyways, I will keep you all updated and blog as much as possible.  Please continue to pray for him!
